WBC YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS

(1) Age limit: {Límite de edad:} 18 years to 23 years 11 months. {De 18 a 23 años y 11 meses}

(2) Age verification: Passport or state department documentation, along with a picture ID and birth certificate. Fighters who have U.S. Federal ID cards will be able to use the ID card for identification, along with a birth certificate.
      Comprobante de edad: Pasaporte o documento oficial, junto con una identificación con foto y acta de nacimiento. Los boxeadores que tengan credencial del gobierno federal de los Estados Unidos, las podrán utilizar como identificación junto con su acta de nacimiento.

(3) Weight divisions: Seventeen (17) standard WBC weight divisions with the same weight limits for each division.
      Divisiones de peso: Las diecisiete (17) divisiones estandar del CMB con los mismos límites de peso para cada una.
(4) Number of fights to be eligible: {Número de combates o méritos necesarios para poder contender por un título:}
          (a) Ten, with the fighter having at least an 85% win ratio over qualified opponents who had a record of 50% or better. In the ten fights, at least two have to be eight round fights;
             Diez peleas en las que el boxeador haya alcanzado al menos 85% de victorias sobre oponentes calificados con un record de 50% o más. De estas 10 peleas, por lo menos 2 deben haber sido de 8 asaltos.
          (b) Olympic medal winners with five winning fights over qualified opponents who had a record of 50% or better.
               Ganadores de medalla olímpica con 5 peleas ganadas contra oponentes calificados con un record de 50% o más.
          (c) Amateur champions with extensive amateur careers with five winning fights over qualified opponents who had a record of 50% or better.
                Campeones amateur que tengan una carrera en el boxeo y hayan logrado 5 victorias contra oponentes calificados con un record de 50% o más.
          (d) The Youth World Championships Executive Committee has the authority to make exceptions as to the eligibility of the fighters as relates to their records.
                El Comité Ejecutivo de los Campeonatos Juveniles del CMB tiene la autoridad para hacer excepciones en la elección de los boxeadores, con base en sus records de pelea.
(5) Ranking of the Youth World Championships: {Clasificación de los Campeones Juveniles: }
      Any Youth World Champion will be accepted to fight for WBC World Titles with the 2/3 approval of the Board of Governors.
      Cualquier Campeón Mundial Juvenil podrá contender por títulos mundiales del CMB si obtiene la aprobación de dos tercios de los miembros del Consejo de Gobierno.
(6) Championship rules: {Reglas de Campeonato:}
      The Youth World Championships will use the standard WBC championship rules for world title fights, except that the number of rounds will be ten (10).
       En los Campeonatos Mundiales Juveniles se aplicarán las mismas reglas de Campeonato del CMB, excepto que el número de asaltos será de 10 (diez).
(7) Belts: {Cinturones: }
       There will be a Youth World Championship belt given to each champion.
       Se entregará un Cinturón de Campeonato a cada campeón.
(8) Super Champ Bout - {Pelea de Estupendo Campeón}
       At the discretion of the World Boxing Council Youth Committee, a current Youth Champion will be allowed to defend his titleagainst a qualified opponent over the age of 22 years/11 months in the champion’s weight class. If the champion is victorious he retains the titleand the fight will count as a title defense. If he is defeated the title will be declared vacant. (This rule is an exception to the general rules for the “superstar” fighter and will not be applied on a regular basis.)
(9) Last Championship Fight: {Última Pelea de Campeonato:}
       In the last championship fight after a Youth World Champion reaches the age of 23 years, he is allowed to defend his title one time against an eligible opponent. If the champion wins he relinquishes his title and it becomes vacant. If he loses, the challenger becomes the new champion.
       En la última pelea de campeonato, después de que un Campeón Juvenil ha cumplido 23 años, éste tendrá derecho a defender su título una vez contra un oponente debidamente seleccionado. Si el campeón gana, renunciará a su título, mismo que quedará vacante y si pierde, el retador será el nuevo campeón.
